Interesting Sites: Snow Capped Peaks, Botanin and Alexsander`s glaciers sights and customs of Kazakh people. Western Mongolian lives the Altai Mountains the habitat of lynx, Argali sheep, Golden eagle, Ibex, and the Elusive Snow leopard. In the remotest corner are the highest peaks, the Tavan Bogd range and Mongolia's longest glacier the Potanin Glacier which stretches 19km. On this trip you will climb the highest peak of Mongolia "Khuiten" (4374m, 14,350ft) and Malchin peak (4027m), which marks the intersection Russian, Chinese and Mongolian borders. Altai Tavan Bogd protected site in 1996.

Description: Western part of Mongolia. Mongolian minority of Kazakh people will live around this area. You will discover their history, traditional life. This area is blessed with mountains scenic beauty, rich nature and interesting culture.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive at Chinggis khaan international airport and meet our guide. Hotel transfer * and relax in the morning. After lunch short sightseeing which, including Sukhbaatar squareChinggis khan monument, National History Museum, Traditional Folklore concert. Overnight at hotel.
   
Day 2 Flight to Ulgii town the center of Bayan-Ulgii province. Lunch at Ulgii town. Drive to Continues to Tavan bogd mountain through Ulaan Khus village. On the way near Tsengel Khairkhan Mountain we will set up tent and Overnight at tent.
   
Day 3 Continue drive to Base camp and arrive. From this point we will leave our vehicle and walk to camp-1 about 20 kms. Luggage will carry by camel or horse. Arrive in camp-1 and set up tent. Preparation for the climbing and acclimatization around the base camp. Overnight at tent.
   
Day 4 Climb to Malchin peak (4027m), and arrive at camp-1. Relax and overnight at tent.
   
Day 5 Early morning walk through Potanin’s Glacier to camp-2. Stay in Camp-2. Overnight at tent.
   
Day 6 Climb Khuiten Peak. From the summit you will get spectacular views into land of China, Russia and Mongolia. Tavan Bogd is the highest mountain of Mongolia with its 4374 meters above the sea level high peak " Khuiten." It is permanently covered with glaciers and snow. Hike back to Camp -1 and Overnight at tent in camp-1.
   
Day 7 Reserve day for Mountain climbing to Malchin and Khuiten peak. Overnight at tent.
   
Day 8 Return to base camp. Visit to Kazakh families living in the countryside. Enjoy their hospitality and experience different culture and customs. Overnight at tent.
   
Day 9 Drive to Ulgii town. Overnight local hotel. Visit to local museum and Muslim tomb. Overnight in local hotel
   
Day 10 Flight to Ulaanbaatar. Relax for leisure. Overnight at hotel.
   
Day 11 Start city tour. Natural History Museum, After lunch Zaisan Hill-panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar city, Buddha Park, Shopping. Overnight at hotel.
   
Day 12 Check out hotel. Transfer to airport. Departure.
