Description: Otgontenger Mountain, the highest peak (4031m) of the Khangain Mountain range, is situated in Zavkhan Province in western part of Mongolia. Historically, this mountain was initially protected in 1818. In 1992, 95,510 hectares were taken under special protection. The area represents the natural complexity of the Khangai mountain range and is a home to rare and very rare wildlife and bio-diversity. We can ascend from back of the mountain.

Itinerary

Day 1	Arrival at Chinggis Khan International Airport and meet our guide and driver. Transfer to hotel and check in for relax. Lunch and afternoon short city tour: visit Main Square Sukhbaatar – Chinggis Khan’s monument, Natural History Museum, Bogd Khan’s Winter Palace Museum and visit Zaisan Hill for Panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2	Transfer to the airport for fly to Uliastai, a center of Zavkhan province at 14:50 by ZY 976. Meet with our driver and drive to Otgontenger Mountain along the Bogd River. (60 km driving) Arrive in the base camp. Overnight at tent.

Day 3	Trek to the mountain see picturesque scenery of Khangai Range. Otgontenger, the highest peak of the Khangai Mountain Range. In the evening prepare for the climbing. Overnight at tent.

Day 4	Climb to the snow peak high 4031 m above see level. Return to base camp. Overnight at tent.

Day 5	Reserve day for climb and relax. Visit nomad family and you can see nomadic lifestyle and daily activity. Overnight at tent.

Day 6	Early morning drive to the Uliastai town and sightseeing: Visit Javkhlant hill, white stupa of 9 Saint and local museum. Transfer to airport and take flight to Ulaanbaabar at 17:35. Check in hotel and overnight

Day 7	Sightseeing: Gandan Buddhist temple, National Museum and shopping. In the evening you can see Mongolian traditional folklore concert. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8	Check out hotel and transfer to airport for departure. End of the tour.
