Description: This trip may offer you great opportunity to challenge yourself with Snow Caped Tsambagarav Mountain which is one of the highest peaks of the High Altai mountain range and experience lifestyle of the ethnic groups in the west.

The permanently Tsambagarav Mountain straddles the border between Khovd and Bayan-Ulgii provinces and is accessible from either side. It is stands of altitude of 4208m, the summit is relatively accessible and easy to climb compared with Tavan Bogd, but you’ll need crampons and ropes. A neighboring peak, Tsast Uul, is slightly shorter at 4193m and also good for climbing. The Bayan-Ulgii (northern) side of the mountain is more impressive and easier to climb.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at Chinggis khaan international airport and meet our guide. Hotel transfer and relax in the morning. After lunch short sightseeing which, including visit Main Square Sukhbaatar, Gandan temple and after lunch visit Bogd Khaan winter palace museum and Zaisan Hill for panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar city. Traditional Folklore concert. Overnight at hotel.

   
Day 2

Filgth to the Ulgii town and keep drive to the base camp will be on the northern side of the Tsamba-Garav Mountain. This day you will visit Kazakh family who has hunting eagle in order to see their lifestyle and culture. Overnight at tent.

   
Day 3

Start climbing to Tsamba-Garav Mount peak. Tsamba-Garav Mount is a one of the highest snow caped peaks of the Altai Mountain Range. That stands 4208 meters above sea level and marks border of the Bayan –Ulgii and Khovd provinces. Overnight at tent.

   
Day 4

Early in the morning start trekking in order to see morning sun rising from the top of the Tsamba-Garav Mount peak. Overnight at tent.

   
Day 5

Today relax and short trekking to the 7m-high waterfall between Tavan Belchiriin Uul and Tsast Uul (GPS: N 48°44.741’, E 090°42.378’) that flows down a narrow gorge. Overnight at tent.

   
Day 6

Drive to the Ulgii town where Kazakh ethnic minority of Mongolian. On the way visit Kazakh family who has hunting eagles. Arrive in the town late afternoon. Overnight local hotel.

   
Day 7

Take a flight to Ulaanbaatar, In the capital city you will visit Bogd Khaan Winter palace Museum, Gandan monastery and do shopping. In the evening enjoy Mongolian Folk Music and dance concert and fare well dinner. Overnight at hotel

   
Day 8

Check out the hotel and transfer to the airport, end of the tour.
